Job Summary
Responsible for overseeing and administering key employee support services, including experience verification reviews, substitute staffing operations and vendor contract management. Directs fingerprinting, background screening to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and district requirements. Oversees volunteer screening, approval, ensuring a safe and compliant environment for students and staff. Designs, implements, and supervises employee records maintenance functions, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, confidentiality, and accessibility of personnel records. Provides leadership, process improvement, and operational oversight to support efficient service delivery and organizational objectives.
Essential Functions
1. Supervises and trains assigned staff, conducts performance appraisals, makes employment and discipline recommendations, and coordinates work assignments.
2. Evaluates, analyzes, and oversees substitute contract and maintenance of substitute tracking systems through vendor.
3. Updates documentation, staffing guidelines, and procedures for substitute vendor.
4. Generates, reviews, and analyzes substitute and employee absence trends and provides recommendations for improvement processes.
5. Processes, reconciles, and approves payment of substitute staffing invoices.
6. Oversees operations and maintenance of files. Ensures laws and statutes for personnel records and public records laws are followed. Generates and analyzes employee lists to ensure all files are in compliance.
7. Processes, reconciles, and approves payment of fingerprinting and background checking invoices.
8. Oversees the district’s screening of volunteers and serves as the Liaison between the district and volunteer vendors.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Master’s degree preferred.
Experience: Three (3) years experience in school administration or human resources with experience in staffing preferred.
